Freewill Personalized Shampoo

Generic shampoos are mass produced and if you check the label of any drugstore shampoo brand, the first ingredient pretty much always is sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS) and/or sodium laureth sulfate (SLES). These sulfates are cleaning agents which produce lather to help remove grime, oil, and dirt. However, sulfates are aggressive detergents that strip your hair of its natural moisture. If you have colored hair, they also wash out your hair color very fast.

I am extremely particular about my hair and am always on the lookout for new hair care products.  I've tried a lot of prominent brands that had rave reviews, however, I was disappointing that they didn't work for me. Why is this? Because when it comes to hair, we all have different hair types and textures. Thus, not every product will suit everyone. Therefore, when I heard of Freewill personalized shampoo, I was instantly intrigued to try it out. 

I have very fine hair and I color it every month since 2017 (thank you premature graying). I also have very wavy unruly hair and have been getting it chemically straightened since 2010 (that's a full decade of chemicals). When it comes to my hair color, I shuffle between shades of copper and red, both of which fade fast, thus I only use sulfate free shampoos so that my color lasts longer and my hair does not lose its natural shine and softness. 

After answering our Freewill's questionnaire on their website, my personalized kit of shampoo, conditioner and serum arrived within a week. After the first wash, I instantly liked the shampoo as it lathers and cleanses nicely, and was even more impressed by the conditioner which is quite thick and creamy and is exactly what my dry and porous hair needs. However, the second wash is when I realize that Freewill products actually work as my hair felt much softer, smoother and manageable (which was pretty much what I wanted) thus, I am pretty impressed and happy with this brand and totally recommend it. 

Please note that goals like dandruff reduction, anti-dryness can take about 6-8 washes for highly visible results. They use high quality natural actives (like fruit extracts, proteins, etc) which are milder compared to harsh synthetic actives and are excellent for your hair in long run.

Overall, Freewill has a great product range which I totally recommend to one and all as it worked very well for me.
