Bachelorette Trip - Kovalam, Kerala

Hey there! I know I've been MIA for a while and that's because I was out of town traveling for that mini vacation I spoke about in my previous post - my high school BFF Prerana's bachelorette! We went to a beautiful beach town called Kovalam in the southern state of Kerala, which is known for its lush landscapes and breathtaking backwaters. There were five of us and we stayed at the Vivanta by Taj Hotel, a stunning seaside resort and hotel landscaped with Balinese style landscaped gardens and water bodies. So beautiful that it won our hearts. As the weather was really hot, we spent most of our time lounging by the pool over cocktails and gossip and swimming of course!

This was my first vacation in years and I could finally wear all my favorite resort wear along with my beloved favorite mirrored aviators which you can see in the photo above and below.

I absolutely adore the blue and yellow cutout dress I'm wearing in the photos below and actually saved it for this holiday! Its tropical and perfect for a vacation. The back is divine too!

Prerana - the bride to be, me and our friend Devyani
Here's me trying to do the Angelia Jolie's leg pose and looking super awkward of course
Parul and me showing off our sexy backs!

The hotel has a stunning infinity pool surrounded by greenery so I just had to do the ubiquitous poolside selfie!

Prerana, Parul and me looking like spa therapists and very unintentionally oriental!
After spending the day by the pool, at night it was time for us to doll up and hit Bait - the beach side restaurant of our hotel. We surprised the bride-to-be with a cozy dinner by the ocean where we had instructed the hotel to decorate the place with candles, balloons and lamps.

I look like Edward Cullen thanks to Parul's Estee Lauder foundation which didn't budge in spite of the extreme humidity

Though it was a really short weekend trip, we had loads of fun and a fantastic time catching up over bottles of wine and lots of girl talk! Vacations with girlfriends are the best! Don't you agree?
