I'm starting with the simplest ones. These are tried and tested by me and the results are oh-so-yum. Bon Appétit!

Simple Spicy Chicken Fried Rice

This is an incredibly simple recipe which I invented when I was 19 when I had just learnt how to cook. Its spicy and yummy and is a blend of Indian and Italian flavors!

Prep time: 10 minutes
Cooking time: 10 minutes

What you need: Cooked rice, Small strips of boneless chicken, Green chillies, Oregano (even better if you use the sachets we get with pizza), Chilly Flakes, Chopped Onions, Oil

What to do: Heat the oil and add lots of chopped onion and green chillies. Once they are brown, add chicken strips. After the chicken has cooked, add salt, oregano and chilly flakes. Soon after, add the rice. Add more salt, oregano and chilly flakes. Let it fry together for a few minutes. And you're done!

Super Simple Lasagna

I made lasagna for the first time of my life just one week before Christmas 2011 and it turned out yummy! This is definitely my favorite Italian dish and comfort food.

Prep time: 20+ minutes
Cooking time: 20+ minutes

What you need: Lasagna noodles, Pasta Sauce ( try using an imported brand as they usually taste better), Use Britannia Cheeza or if you want it fancy add Parmesan and Ricotta, Olive Oil, Chilly Flakes, Oregano, Salt, Garlic, minced chicken, lamb or beef

What to do: Boil the lasagna sheets till they get soft. This will take a good 20 minutes. Once they're cooked, drain the water and place them on a plate and lightly brush some olive oil between them so they don't stick to each other.

Cook the minced meat with spices, garlic and olive oil till its brown and dry. Add pasta sauce and keep on flame for five minutes. Coat the bottom of the baking dish with olive oil and add a layer of lasagna sheets. Top it with tomato sauce and mince meat, and with a mix of Parmesan and Ricotta. Put a layer of Mozzarella on top.  Keep adding layers as you desire. Bake at 350 degrees for about 25 minutes.
